The registration fee does not include extra nights of accommodation before or after the course.

Payment

Payment by participants should be made to account by online bank transfer.

Accepted participants will receive a payment link. They should pay the registration fee before deadline.

Selection criteria

Selected PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and early career PIs will be expected to have the following characteristics:

  1. Project that requires application of single particle cryoEM or cryo tomography – all participants will be requested to submit abstracts for posters and submitted abstracts will be screened by a committee
  2. Having some preliminary data or exposure to electron microscopy/cryoEM/tomography will be preferred – submitted abstracts and applicant’s CV will be screened by a committee

Abstract guidelines

The abstract should be of a maximum length of 200 words. It should contain a description of the research problem that requires application of single particle CryoEM/cryo tomography. Description of preliminary data, if available, accompanied by 1 figure (maximum).

(Abstract need not be on Cryo EM, but it should have some relevance and proof that proves your need to attend this Cryo EM course. Only selected participants abstract will be printed in the abstract book) (Not exceeding 300 Words)

Poster specifications

Travel grants

A limited number of travel grants are available for participants. Applicants do not need to apply separately for travel grants for this event but should indicate on the registration form if they wish to be considered for a travel grant. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizer who will notify all eligible participants. More information is available at EMBO Travel Grants' page.

Child care grant

EMBO Courses and Workshops offers grants to offset additional child care costs incurred by participants or speakers when participating at any EMBO Courses and Workshop funded meeting. Eligible costs include fees for a caregiver or child-care facility, travel costs for a caregiver, or travel costs for taking the child to the meeting etc. Please indicate on the registration form whether you would like to be considered for the grant. Please also describe how you intend to use the child care grant and specify the sum that you will need.

*Students will share double rooms.

*Student/Postdoctoral applicants should have to support their application with their supervisor's reference. The applicant must request his/her supervisor to send directly an email reference letter about the applicant to the email ID cem3dip2020@iisertvm.ac.in quoting the applicants Submission ID).

*CV details as requested must be filled in the form.

All selected participants will be asked to present posters on their research work, relevant to this course

* A selected set of participants may be requested to present oral presentation in addition to poster presentation
